The College of Agricultural Sciences is seeking a Associate Dean for Inclusive Excellence and Faculty Affairs. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position.

The Associate Dean of Inclusive Excellence and Faculty Affairs (ADIEFA) is a senior administrative leadership team member in the College of Agricultural Sciences (CAS) with the Dean and four other Associate Deans. Together, they are responsible for executive functions, including policy development and strategic planning, and, with the unit administrators, for managing, administering, and coordinating the operations of the CAS, the Oregon Agricultural Experiment Station, and the Agriculture and Natural Resources program of the OSU Extension Service. With other administrative team members, the ADIEFA has responsibilities relating to the success of all CAS faculty, personnel management, programs, and budget management, promoting communication and cooperation, and otherwise advancing the integration of the CAS’s education, extension, and research programs.
The ADIEFA oversees program management, personnel support (including career advancement guidance), promoting communication and cooperation, and the integration of the CAS’s education, extension, and research programs. Additionally, the ADIEFA provides creative leadership in overseeing, administering, and supporting the CAS Strategic Action Plan for Inclusive Excellence (SPIE). Responsibilities include facilitating, evaluating, and communicating the development and growth of cultural competencies across interpersonal, institutional, structural, and global levels. The ADIEFA oversees hiring, adherence to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) practices, professional development, promotion and tenure, and awards for the CAS. The ADIEFA will conduct this work in concert and collaboration with CAS faculty, staff, students, stakeholders, and OSU’s Office of Institutional Diversity.
The CAS’ teaching, research, and Extension programs cover a broad spectrum of life and environmental sciences and physical, mathematical, and statistical sciences. The CAS is committed to partnering with industry and public agencies to address some of today’s and tomorrow’s most compelling challenges.
