Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of an undergraduate program. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Research Assistant in ecology and native plant restoration. JFNTMP
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with research data entry, lab activities and greenhouse care of native plants
REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:
This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Undergraduate in Plant sciences, agriculture, and range sciences including soil science, wildlife management, ecological restoration, and related fields.
Other requirements: Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Interest in laboratory work, greenhouse plant care, and data management; fast learner, reliable – should have access to car to travel between lab and greenhouse facility.
EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS APPLICABLE TO CAREERS:
Entry level research experience in laboratory and greenhouse work relevant for land management and biological sciences
