Saint Francis University invites applications for a full time Financial Aid Counselor in the Office of Financial Aid. The position is directly responsible to the Director of Financial Aid to: Counsel families on aid application process while providing honest information about Saint Francis University with an emphasis on the value and importance of a liberal arts education. Process financial aid applications with sensitivity to the diverse student populations and attention to specific needs of undergraduate, graduate, continuing education, and international students as well as students in the various sports team or groups on campus. Manage student federal and campus-based employment program and oversee the work-study students within the Financial Aid Office. Develop financial aid debt management program and materials for undergraduate and graduate students. Package all graduate students with special emphasis on Master populations as well as online and professional development student populations. Complete and manage consortium agreements for both Master and Undergraduate populations.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, computer science or related field with 1-3 years of experience in a professional setting required. Progressive experience in financial aid/higher education setting preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Extensive experience and knowledge with any of the following software is preferred: PowerFAIDS, COD, ELM Resources, FISAP, WS FTP, SQL, Jenzabar, Excel, Powerbuilder; Experience with PHEAA Needs Analysis.
