Being an Associate Financial Aid Director maintains records of scholarships, grants, and other monetary assistance. Has knowledge of available private, state, and federal financial aid programs. Additionally, Associate Financial Aid Director typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to the Financial Aid Director. The Associate Financial Aid Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. The Director of Financial Aid provides leadership and oversight of all financial aid operations and processes for the University including federal, state, institutional, and private/outside aid, while ensuring excellent customer service toward increasing student access, persistence, and graduation. As a key member of the enrollment management leadership team, the Director collaborates with other administrative areas to maintain an optimal balance between enrollment and retention goals, tuition discount rate and net income. The Director ensures compliance with federal, state, and institutional financial aid guidelines, and implements financial aid policies and procedures. The Director is responsible for managing all resources to accomplish department goals and to represent financial aid interests throughout the University.
