Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic leader to manage the Financial Aid Department. This is a full time, professional position reporting directly to the Campus President. As a member of the school's leadership team, the Director of Financial Aid is responsible for managing the department using sound business principals and ensuring compliance with all governmental, accreditation and company policies and procedures. This position will require some evening and Saturday hours.
Applicants for the Director's position must have the following essential skills: Title IV technical knowledge and skills sufficient to provide the necessary internal controls required to keep the school compliant with federal and state regulations, and institutional policies and procedures; lead in the delivery of financial aid to all student groups; have extensive experience with computer based financial aid packaging and reporting systems.
The Director of Financial Aid will be responsible for collaborating with admissions to support the recruitment of new students; working closely with other campus representatives to ensure that financial aid practices support the retention of students and the timely processing of financial aid; supervising and providing training to staff; ensuring that the department delivers high quality customer service; awarding financial aid according to established packaging policies and regulations; and providing support for the school's recruiting and admission strategies through the financial aid delivery process for prospective students in coordination with the Office of Admissions.
