Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Aid Manager to join our team. The Financial Aid Coordinator will be responsible for assisting students with the financial aid process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of loans and grants, and providing support to the financial aid office.
Responsibilities:
- Process student financial aid applications, including reviewing and verifying documentation
- Assist students in completing financial aid forms and understanding the application process
- Conduct financial analysis to determine eligibility for various types of financial aid
- Coordinate loan processing, including disbursing funds and maintaining loan records
- Communicate with students regarding their financial aid status, requirements, and options
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial aid
- Maintain accurate student records in the financial aid management system (e.g., Ellucian, PeopleSoft)
- Provide support to the financial aid office by answering inquiries and resolving issues
Skills:
- Strong mathematical skills for financial calculations and analysis
- Knowledge of loan processing procedures and regulations
- Proficiency in financial analysis and account management
- Experience with Ellucian or similar financial aid management systems
- Excellent communication skills to interact with students, staff, and external agencies
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft or other education administration software
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of financial services in an educational setting
