Associate Director or Director designation will depend on the years and level of experience of an individual. The Associate Director or Director of Customer Service is a key member of the Management Team who works toward achieving objectives established in the Strategic Plan and by the annual KPI’s. This position directs and manages the Customer Accounts and Trade Execution teams with overall responsibilities for managing the team who manage all steps in the order-to-cash process. This position manages and oversees the Customer Accounts team, including customer interactions in conjunction with the Sales Manager team, receipt of forecasts and later PO’s from customers, processing the PO’s in the IMP system and requesting transportation bookings from the Trade Execution team. This position also oversees the Trade Execution team who is responsible for transportation bookings and confirmations. This position will work closely with the Warehouse teams who coordinate customer pick-ups and deliveries. This position provides leadership, coaching, mentoring, and training while supervising and coordinating activities of 8 employees. In conjunction with the Customer Accounts and Trade Execution teams, this position builds and manages SOP processes for activities associated with order-to-cash, and ensures customers send forecast and PO’s in time to receive OTIF (On time in full) orders from IMP. He/she is an expert in all customer service activities. This position requires a high level of understanding surrounding the relationship between internal and external customers in the order-to-cash process. This ranges from customer direct interaction to shipment of goods to invoicing and customer payments. The ideal candidate can anticipate and prevent problems within the order-to-cash process and address them in a timely manner.
