Position Summary:
The Food Services Assistant assists with meal preparation, meal service, and sanitation and adheres to all safe food handling.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Prepares and portions foods for cafeteria, catered and patient food services.
• Works patient service tray line to provide meals to patients.
• Works in cafeteria to provide food to employees, guests and visitors.
• Performs vending duties.
• Provides service to catered events as scheduled.
• Adheres to accepted Food Service Sanitation and Safety procedures.
• Performs duties relevant to ware washing.
Education:
High School education or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
Two years of restaurant, institutional or school foodservice experience is preferred. Hospital or nursing home food service experience is a plus.
