Being an Associate General Counsel assists in protecting an organization's legal interest and maintaining its operations within the scope established by law. Provides counsel to senior leadership. Additionally, Associate General Counsel identifies and analyzes legal issues, drafts key documents, presents clear recommendations to top management, and assures legal compliance. Assists or represents the organization in business negotiations. Requires a JD. Requires State Bar membership. Typically reports to top legal executive. The Associate General Counsel manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. To be an Associate General Counsel typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience. CarePoint Health is a medical services organization that provides management services to multiple physician specialty practices in several states. The Office of General Counsel advises and represents CarePoint Health, LLC and its related and affiliated multi-specialty physician practice groups it manages in each state where we provide medical services. In addition, the Office of General Counsel works with the operations teams daily and advises and represents the Board of Directors and Boards of Managers on all legal matters affecting each entity.
The Associate General Counsel will report to the Vice President and General Counsel and will work on a wide variety of matters reflecting the complex and diverse operations of CarePoint Health, LLC and its managed and affiliated entities. This position is expected to work a hybrid schedule, working remotely and from the group’s primary headquarters in Greenwood Village, Colorado one to three days per week.
