We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Counsel to join our team that could start immediately (which we will note start in 2 to 4 weeks below) or as it makes sense for the right candidate. As the General Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to our organization (group of businesses), appear in legal proceedings, provide pleadings and assist in any needed legal matters. This is a key leadership role that requires exceptional legal knowledge, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to understand regulation and law as it pertains to our areas of business.

- Provide legal advice and support to the organization on a wide range of legal matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate various polices, oversight, contracts or agreements working courts as or if needed, and working with areas of government, oversight and business to facilitate growth.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Manage litigation matters and work with external counsel as needed
- Advise on corporate governance matters and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide legal guidance on business initiatives
- Develop and implement legal strategies to mitigate risk and protect the interests of the organization
- Oversee the legal administrative functions of the organization
```Experience```
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar association
- Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on corporate, real estate or business law
- Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures
- Experience in negotiating contracts and agreements
- Proficiency in legal drafting and research
- Ability to litigate when necessary
- Familiarity with Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw research platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
