Associate Housing Director assists in all aspects of on-campus housing for students. Assigns residence hall managers to each dormitory. Being an Associate Housing Director reviews and updates of all housing policies to ensure the safety of residents. May also help maintain an off-campus housing program. Additionally, Associate Housing Director typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a Housing Director. The Associate Housing Director supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Associate Housing Director typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. To schedule and perform HQS/NSPIRE inspections and to complete all required documentation for the inspections for the Housing Choice Voucher department. Will be required to input data, prepare reports/letters, schedule inspections, interact with residents/landlord and co-workers. Knowledge of HQS/NSPIRE inspection requirements a plus but experience with inspecting residential housing is required. Must be computer literate, efficient in office procedures, ability to inspect multiple types of housing units. Must have valid driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent, and pass physical/background/drug screening. Work schedule will include 22.5 hours per week (retirement/life insurance provided); days worked may fluctuate based on agency needs, but a regular schedule will be established.
