Additionally, Associate Medical Director requires a MD degree. Typically reports to Medical Director. The Associate Medical Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. JOB SUMMARY:
Provides oversight, leads and coordinates intersections with undergraduate and graduate medical education at all Community Medical Group clinical site preceptors. The Medical Director of Education will work collaboratively with the educational leadership team at the Penn State College of Medicine (PSCOM) to provide an excellent educational experience for PSCOM MD students, PA students, nursing students, and residents. In addition to the Medical Director role, this position will provide medical services and contribute to the design and delivery of high quality, cost effective, values-based patient care for our patients.
The Director is responsible for all aspects of management including; financial outcomes, budgeting, quality and safety, access and patient satisfaction.
Ensures that the faculty, residents and attending physicians who teach and assess PSCOM leaners are informed at all times about PSCOM program policies and procedures including but not limited to supervision of learners, duty hours, and ensuring a positive learning environment..
