Ideal qualifications for the Remote Health Plans Associate Medical Director include an unencumbered MD or DO license. A successful completion of a residency program in a primary care specialty, such as Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics, is required, with preference given to those with Board Certification. Consideration will also be extended to candidates with backgrounds in Psychiatry and OB/GYN. A minimum of five (5) years of clinical practice experience is essential, though exceptions may be made for individuals with equivalent health plan experience. Ideal candidates will bring leadership experience in a managed care system and demonstrate familiarity with community or migrant health centers. Moreover, a proven track record in the development and implementation of effective healthcare policy, particularly in the realms of quality monitoring, medical appropriateness, and utilization of healthcare services, is preferred.
