Worship Pastor Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Part-time Worship Pastor

The person called to this ministry must be in agreement with Havre Community Alliance ‘s statements on vision, mission and faith. They must also have the qualifications of an Elder as outlined in 1 Timothy 3.

REPORTS TO: Lead Pastor and the elders

LEADS THESE PEOPLE: Worship and Media teams; the Congregation

JOB SUMMARY: - The goal of the Worship Pastor is to magnify the Lord while leading others to do the same through excellence, authenticity, and example.
The Worship Pastor will oversee and coordinate all worship team members including singers, musicians, and sound/media team.
Other responsibilities are:

• Plan, prepare, and lead the music and other worship elements for Sunday services and other special services (Good Friday, Christmas Eve, etc.) in collaboration with the Lead Pastor/elders and/or main speaker.
• Proactively develop new worship leaders.
• Audio /Visual tech knowledge would be an added benefit.

• A willingness to perform other responsibilities as needed by the church and determined by the Pastor and Elders.
• Provide pastoral care for the entire worship team at church, including proactive scheduling of one-on-one’s with members.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS: -

• True worshipper in private as well as public life.
• Spiritually, relationally, and emotionally healthy.
• Servant, team-oriented approach to leading others as a lead servant.
