Grace Christian Fellowship (gracecrossett.com) is seeking a full-time Senior Pastor to preach the Word of God and equip the saints for the work of the ministry.

Who We Are:

Grace Christian Fellowship is a contemporary, New Testament church located in Crossett, Arkansas. We align theologically with the Baptist Faith Message of the SBC and consider ourselves to be a casual church focused on glorifying God with our lives, not just through words, appearance, or social status. We strive to imitate the early Church of Acts by living connected lives through being authentic, vulnerable, and transparent with one another. 

As seen in the New Testament, we are a church that is Jesus-led, elder-shepherded, and deacon-served. We are devoted to the teaching of God’s Holy and infallible Word through expository teaching. We have a heart to build strong and mature relationships through discipleship, raising up future leaders in the church, and spreading the Gospel to our local and global communities. Our congregation is vibrant and demographically diverse, eager to serve and seeking continual growth spiritually and numerically. 

Our Sunday Worship schedule begins with Sunday School sessions from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, followed by our Corporate Worship service beginning at 10:45 AM. Our average attendance during Sunday Worship is 140-160. Instead of Sunday evening services we reserve that time for families to build relationships by gathering in one another’s homes, down time with family, or attending our youth worship service, Lighthouse Student Ministries. During the academic school year, Wednesday nights are reserved for “R.E.A.C.H. Groups,” our organized in-home Bible studies where we share a meal and discuss God’s Word. “R.E.A.C.H” is the acronym that defines GCF’s heartbeat, “Relationships Established Around Christ’s Heart.” Our GCF body strives to “R.E.A.C.H Up, R.E.A.C.H In, and R.E.A.C.H. Out.” On Wednesday nights during the summer months, we meet at the church for Corporate Worship and Bible study. 

A healthy body is an active body, so we have Ministry Teams that give opportunities for our members to serve each other and those around them. We understand the necessity to remain attached to the vine and being plugged in to the body. Serving alongside fellow believers helps us grow in our love for Christ and for each other. Who We’re Looking For:

We are seeking an experienced, full-time Senior Pastor that is “called” and will serve as the “lead shepherd” among our flock. He will do this by: 

• Meeting the qualifications of an Overseer as outlined in 1 Timothy 3 
  
• Aligning theologically with our Statement of Faith 
  
• Exhibiting proper knowledge of the whole Bible and delivering the message to the Body by the Power of the Holy Spirit 
  
• Having a heart to build deep relationships among the body through personal discipleship 
  
• Being a compassionate and willing counsellor who operates in confidentiality 
  
• Being approachable among leadership and the body 
  
• Having long-term vision and the ability to develop a plan to execute the vision 
  
• Serving as a mentor to other church staff and members of leadership 
  
• Joined by his wife who is active in service and participates in ministry 
  
• Agreeing with the biblical model of the “Plurality of Elders” for governing the church as seen in Acts 14:23, 1 Peter 5:1-2, and Titus 1:5 
  

At Grace Christian Fellowship, the leadership understands the Calling of a Senior Pastor is a heavy task at times. This is where we have learned to operate as a “Plurality of Elders/Overseers” of the body. Not to govern in a way of “oversight of the pastor” but in a heart to support the well-being of the Body, the pastor, and his family.
