Associate Pastor assists the pastor in religious services and managing daily operations of an organization. Leads and implements outreach and educational programs and events that will maintain and grow membership. Being an Associate Pastor provides clerical support such as researching, selecting, and documenting passages or prayers to assist the pastor in planning and leading worship. Assists with administrative duties including managing calendars and schedules, preparing materials or educational documents, and communicating with volunteers. Additionally, Associate Pastor performs religious services and leads prayer. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a pastor. The Associate Pastor occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The NextGen Student Pastor is tasked with fostering the spiritual growth and development of students in grades 6-12, encompassing both discipleship within the church and outreach to unchurched students. This involves strategic planning, scheduling, and overseeing weekly programs and special events like camps, conferences, trips, and service projects.
