As the Associate Producer you are a problem-solving production partner within the Best Buy In-House Agency, responsible for the management of day-to-day production needs for small to mid-sized video productions. Tasks include production support during creative development, ownership of pre-production, production, and post-production tasks.
This individual is also responsible for working with Best Buy Creative Production Leadership to complete production tasks associated with large-scale, multi-faceted TV/DV & Social productions, or general department needs.
This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at a Best Buy location and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What you’ll do
Have ownership over the production details and logistics of small-mid sized productions.
Communicate status and next steps clearly to the larger Production, Creative, and AM team.
Manage and track budgets, create schedules and production plan, oversee the bidding and award to creative production partners, manage the production process and timelines, set up and run meetings, and ensure the job is wrapped and organized according to BBY policies.
Work closely with external partners as well as internal designers and makers.
Develop and nurture relationships based on trust, creative excellence, and collaboration within the production community and Best Buy, while staying current on inspirational cultural content, up-and-coming talent and new potential creative partners.
Basic qualifications
3 years of experience in video production, management, business, marketing, visual communications, technology design, project management or related.
1 year of experience working with small network of local and regional production and post-production partners.
1 year of experience of production budgeting and bidding, with knowledge of AICP/AICE production formats & best practices.
Preferred qualifications
4 year of experience in video production role at award-winning advertising agency or production company.
Knowledge in one more of the following areas relevant to the role: digital design, graphic design, photography, interactive technology, print industry, videography, editing, visual effects, experiential.
Experience assisting in the production of content featuring celebrity talent.
Experience with one or more of the following video & animation production tools: Adobe Creative Suite, 2D/3D workflows, MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
Experience assisting in the production of alternative marketing vehicles (mobile applications, physical events and activations, VR, AR, AI, 3D, web-based content and experiences).
