Associate Registrar manages one or multiple segments of the registrations and records programs. Has responsibilities of registration, classroom assignment, commencement, and maintenance of student records. Being an Associate Registrar typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a Registrar. The Associate Registrar supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Responsible for the registering of patients by obtaining individual information without error and in a timely manner. The registrar will collect non-covered payments and/or deposits, insure compliance with insurance regulations and governmental rules and regulations.
Insures complete and accurate patient demographic information.
Insures all admission and financial forms are complete and accurate.
Maintains working knowledge of bed placement.
Performs other admission duties.
HS diploma or GED required.
Prefer previous hospital registration, business office or physician office experience. Data Entry exam.
