Job Overview:

A Commercial Superintendent oversees the construction crew, ensuring everyone works safely, efficiently, and adheres to construction regulations. They function as a liaison, collaborating closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and inspectors. Additionally, they communicate progress updates to stakeholders. If you are a detail-oriented leader with a passion for construction, this role might be an excellent fit.

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

• Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities
• Ensure compliance with project plans, blueprints, and specifications
• Coordinate subcontractors, labor, and materials effectively
• Prioritize safety protocols and enforce adherence to regulations
• Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections
• Maintain high-quality work standards throughout the project
• Allocate resources efficiently (personnel, equipment, materials)
• Monitor progress and adjust schedules as needed
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors for timely deliveries
• Serve as the point of contact for project stakeholders
• Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and challenges
• Address any issues promptly to prevent delays
• Resolve construction-related problems swiftly
• Make informed decisions to keep the project on track
• Anticipate potential issues and proactively find solutions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Experience in commercial construction.
• Proven history of successfully managing complex projects.
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with construction software and tools (i.e., Bluebeam & Procore)
• P6 Scheduling

The job is full-time, Monday – Friday, based in Birmingham, AL

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
