Job Summary: | Job Summary: The Clinical Assistant Professor of Endocrinology
position will practice in an Endocrinology service line clinic. This
position is actively involved in patient care and teaching medical students and
residents in the ambulatory clinics, as well as the hospital surgery/inpatient
service. Appropriate effort and activity
in clinical research and service will also be necessary as well as a clinical
record of sufficient depth to qualify for faculty appointment at the rank of Clinical
Assistant Professor. The position will
work with existing with OSU-CHS administration to develop an operational
practice. This position may be split between OSU-CHS and the US Department of
Veteran’s Affairs (VA).
Environmental Hazards: Possible exposure to hazardous materials, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.
Physical Requirements: Ability to
lift, carry push, and pull 20 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp,
feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without
reasonable accommodations. Sufficient to carry out specific job functions of an Endocrinologist.

Position Qualifications: | Required: -Doctor of Osteopathy or Medical Doctorate -Endocrinology Fellowship -On Dec. 7, 2021, a federal judge
temporarily blocked the implementation of the federal contractor
vaccination mandate and its associated guidance. Following the
injunction, Oklahoma State University has, consistent with applicable
law, paused the vaccination mandate. Please be aware this injunction may
be lifted at a later date and will require all employees to be fully
vaccinated or receive an approved accommodation as a condition of
employment.
Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge: Requires a
DO or MD degree, eligibility for licensure in the state of Oklahoma, Board
Certification/Eligibility in Endocrinology,
and a devoted interest in education. Knowledge of all areas related to clinic workflow. The
position requires strong analytical skills, advanced multi-tasking skills, and
advanced problem-solving skills. Computer skills are needed to operate
electronic medical records. Good communication and leadership skills are a
positive. Interpersonal skills are
required to interact effectively with faculty, students, clients and
providers. |
