The Division of Biological and Biomedical Systems is instrumental to the University of Missouri System's NextGen Data Science and Analytics Innovation Center (dSAIC), which supports university research across the state and plays a critical role in the region's health, business, and workforce development. dSAIC is based at UMKC and operates in partnership with the University of Missouri-Columbia. The Division of Biological and Biomedical Systems invites applications for a full-time non-tenure-track faculty position (open rank) of Biology/Physiology to teach physiology to undergraduate and graduate students.

Courses to be taught may include a subset of the following: Principles of Physiology, Physiology Lab, Mammalian Physiology, Pathophysiology, Oral Physiology, and Physiology for Pharmacy students.

The primary attributes we seek in candidates are the potential or demonstrated excellence in teaching and mentoring. Experience supporting students from underrepresented backgrounds is a plus.

Full-time, 9-month, benefit-eligible, ranked non-tenure track faculty position. Opportunity for ranked promotion is provided. Our academic schedules and workload provides for a positive work/life balance.

* Applicants must possess a Ph.D., (or M.D., D.D.S., or D.V.M.) by the start date.

* Experienced MS or MA will also be considered with significant physiology teaching.

* Postdoctoral experience is encouraged.

* All applicants should have some experience with teaching physiology.

Salary is commensurate with faculty rank, credentials and experience.
