Job Description We seek a Biology Specialist for work related to wastewater surveillance of microbial pathogens. The candidate will work independently and with collaborative teams across different academic institutions and government agencies. The position will provide a unique opportunity to contribute to understanding the fundamental metagenomics of the environment between humans and their surrounding outside world, specific to the state of Idaho. The primary responsibilities of the successful candidate will be to assist in the development of standard analytic testing and reporting of data procured from the surveillance of Southeast Idaho regional wastewater sites for microbial pathogens. This project is in collaboration with the Idaho Idaho Bureau of Laboratories, Division of Public Health and is supported by ELC-CRR funds through the CDC. The candidate will work directly with Faculty at Idaho State University and collaborate with other team members of other Idaho regional sites.
