Salary Range
$76,200 - $206,600 / per year
Engineer I - $76,200 - $118,100 / per year
Engineer II - $87,600 - $135,800 / per year
Engineer III - $100,800 - $156,200 / per year
Engineer IV - $115,900 - $179,600 / per year
Engineer V - $133,300 - $206,600 / per year
The Mechanical/Chemical Engineer (Plant Project Engineering) position is considered safety sensitive work and if a job offer is accepted the applicant will be required to complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing which will include cannabis testing.
Summary
Direct, coordinate, and exercise functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility and provide analysis of functionality of existing systems and detail designs for new systems requiring mechanical engineering knowledge (e.g., piping, vessels, rotating equipment).

Qualifications
Incumbents must have demonstrated knowledge and abilities in these areas. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
· Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution or other related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Master’s Degree, E.I.T. certification and/or P.E. registration preferred
· Intern experience in a similar manufacturing (chemical plant, chemical refinery, etc.) environment preferred
Computer Skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
· Preferred working knowledge in AutoCAD / MathCAD / Maple / AFT Fathom & Arrow / HYSYS / etc.
Other Skills and Abilities
· Strong working knowledge of mechanical engineering, including demonstrated proficiency in calculations and/or modeling associated with this discipline (e.g. FEA)
· Ability to prepare detail design drawings and specifications for systems/components related to the discipline, as assigned
· Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and Process Safety Management requirements
· Proficiency in design tools relevant to the discipline
· Familiar with REC Silicon Mechanical Engineering Standards, mechanical facilities, and particularly with unique and/or proprietary components preferred
· Understanding of project execution, document management and records retention
· Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing with peers, associates, and contractors
