Asst. Professor - Chemical Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of chemical engineering. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Asst. Professor - Chemical Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Chemical Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and contributes to research In a specialized field. This position also operates all applicator equipment and performs maintenance on that equipment. This position requires a Class A CDL.
Correctly mixes pesticides, fertilizers and chemicals for application.
Performs maintenance and calibration on application equipment.
Wears proper protection equipment.
Attends applicator equipment workshops.
Performs maintenance on other equipment and fixed facilities.
Must be able to work nights, overtime and some weekend hours during busy season.
Experience in operating large equipment is required.
Must be at least 18 years old to operate Helena equipment and/or drive a company vehicle. Positions requiring a CDL may have differing age requirements.
A Class A CDL is required.
Other skills that will help you succeed:
Agricultural background.
Ability to read field maps and use tractor-mounted field computers.
Ability to pass a CDL physical examination.
Ability to work without direct supervision.
In this position, the employee regularly works near moving equipment/mechanical parts and could be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, chemical and biological hazards and a risk of electrical shock.
