The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Creighton University invites applications for a full-time Research Associate. The individual will be involved in various laboratory research, experimentation, and technical activities for a materials chemistry research laboratory.
The research associate will join a dynamic group comprised of mainly undergraduate researchers from diverse backgrounds. They will prepare and perform experiments in materials chemistry, including the synthesis of materials and collection, recording, and analyzing data and results. They will be involved in preparing manuscripts and technical reports and will disseminate results/analyses at scientific conferences. Basic responsibilities are listed below.
In addition to research activities, the research associate will have opportunities to support educational outreach efforts by engaging local high school teachers and students in chemistry and materials science projects.
