Professor - Communication provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Communication may administer and grade examinations or delegate the task to others. Typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Public Health Communication Specialist:
Jefferson County Public Health is seeking a Public Health Communication Specialist. Work with team to build engaging and informative Jefferson County Public Health communication platforms that strategically disseminate time sensitive emergency and educational and general information about the department, its services and programs. Platforms for disseminating information may include, but are not limited to, social media, website, print media and outreach at public events.
Minimum qualifications:
Individual needs to be able to perform this job successfully in each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are listed on the , please see attached, and are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) in a computer-related field, journalism, public relations, communications, or related field; AND two (2) years of related experience in web production or website management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
AND
Two (2) years of experience working with graphic design software and other tools used in the maintenance and design of social media and other internet-based communications.
Hours & Compensation:
Full time, 40 hours per week with full benefits. UFCW position, Grade 28, starting hourly typically $25.25, DOE. Full hourly range $25.25-$31.54. Full medical benefits, including dental and vision. Retirement provided through Washington State DRS. Plus 12 days of vacation, 11 paid holidays, sick leave, and bereavement leave. Starting January 1, 2024, UFCW will be adopting Personal Time Off (PTO) in lieu of vacation and sick leave.
