Asst. Professor - Communication teaches courses in the discipline area of communication. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Asst. Professor - Communication provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Communication may administer and grade examinations or delegate the task to others. Typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Typical Qualifications
A master’s degree in English, Communications or a related field is required; Ph.D. preferred. Prior experience teaching communications courses at the university level is a plus.

Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared $1,100.00 maximum per credit hour*
- Rate is dependent upon the number of students enrolled in the course assigned.
