Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Fiber Optic and Low Voltage Technician to join our team. As a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various fiber and low voltage systems. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise and attention to detail. Our office resides in Northeast Pennsylvania and you will drive a company vehicle to job sites within 1-2 hours away from the office.

Qualifications:
-5years experience performing low voltage / structured cabling installations in a commercial setting
-Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA, or NEC Standards
-Rack and stack work, closet work, putting together server racks, patch panels
-Fiber experience such as fusion splicing and ribbon splicing a plus
-Ability to read and understand schematic and line diagrams
-Install and troubleshoot CCTV systems including mounting cameras a plus
-Install and troubleshoot door access control a plus
Responsibilities:
-Installing CAT 5e, CAT 6, CAT6A, Fiber etc. cable in commercial environments.
-Terminating phone jacks, dressing and terminating distribution frames (66 or 110 blocks, patch panels)
-Ability to use Level 3 cable testers and OTDR
-Installing support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks)
-Ability to use hand tools and power tools
-Candidate may also install displays, projectors, speakers, wireless access points, IP and security cameras, camera housings, motion detectors, switches and routers (already configured), and other network devices
-This job will on occasion require working from heights such as lifts, ladders, scaffolding and rooftops.
-Must also have a clean valid drivers license, pass a drug test and pass background checks required to work in schools.
