Charlotte Latin School is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, flexible, and energetic Computer Science teacher to join our full-time faculty this August. This position is well suited for motivated professionals who are looking for the freedom to teach courses to grades 9-12 at the introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels (both AP and non-AP). Additional responsibilities may include sponsoring extracurricular activities, advising, and/or coaching.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math or related fields is required; A Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred.
1 year’s experience teaching required; 3 preferred
Skills and Abilities
Ability to teach courses at or above AP Computer Science A
Experience in and willingness to teach all levels of Computer Science
Interest in shaping and continuing to develop a Computer Science program as technology changes
Patience, enthusiasm, creativity, dedication, compassion, and respect for individual students
