Responsibilities | Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration, and active support of the University Mission, Catholic, and Lasallian higher education. -Teach 24 credit hours per contract year -Service to the department and university -Continued professional development The new faculty member will teach and regularly update a variety of courses for our graduate computer science programs. The new faculty member would be part of a new graduate program in Computer Science that started in Fall 2023 at the Albuquerque, New Mexico campus of Lewis University. The Department of Computer and Mathematical Sciences includes Mathematics, Computer Science, and Computer Engineering and consists of twenty-five full-time faculty members serving approximately 300 undergraduate students and 650 graduate students. Those students pursue a variety of undergraduate programs in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Computer Engineering. |
Minimum Qualifications | The candidate must have a PhD or master's degree in Computer Science with 5 or more years of industry experience. The candidate must be a self-starter and have a passion for teaching a variety of computer science courses to graduate students, particularly in the areas of software development and software engineering. Candidates must have a commitment to preparing future computer scientists at for successful careers, and a willingness to teach both in-person and online. |
