Asst. Professor - Computer Science teaches courses in the discipline area of computer and information sciences. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Asst. Professor - Computer Science provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Computer Science typically reports to a department head. Essential Functions:
Adhere to Goodwill rotation schedule;
Determine customers technical needs and provide them with appropriate solutions
Troubleshooting a variety of computer issues
Install hardware, software and device drivers on standalone computers for refurbishing and repair
Test, clean, and price various computer peripherals and hardware
Upgrade software, patches and operating systems on a continuous basis
Act as a technical resource in order to assist customers with resolving computer issues
Identify and report any parts needed for refurbishing and repairing computers
Maintain documentation of technical maintenance procedures carried out for repairs
Logging and reporting production.
Process donations adhering to Goodwill’s standards and guidelines;
Keep accurate record of items processed on a daily basis;
Regularly meet or exceed production standards;
Understand and perform all procedures necessary to meet or exceed the weekly sales and production quota for the store;
Ensure Full and Fresh inventory;
Maintain a clean and safe work area;
Ensure that a full inventory of items remains on sales floor at all times;
Ship surplus items to other retail stores in need of donations as directed by leadership;
Comply with applicable safety procedures; Report accidents/injuries and safety concerns to the appropriate leadership staff;
Comply with Goodwill’s policies and procedures, including performing assigned duties within the framework of Goodwill’s Guiding Principles;
Maintain an acceptable attendance and punctuality record;
Cross train in the production of goods as well as the sale of goods, as requested.
Willingness to mentor and train co-workers;
Adhere to dress code;
Adhere to two-hour floor check lists as assigned by leadership;
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Skills & Requirements: Analytical Skills:
Most activities involve repetitive upper body movement and bending. The employee must regularly lift and/or move a minimum of 25 pounds.
Must have good hand-eye coordination. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
