Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Asst. Professor - Dentistry provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Dentistry typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and contributes to research In a specialized field. Responsibilities:
- General dental assisting experience a plus, but not required
- Front office skills- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary information
- Assist with billing and payment processing
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries or concerns
Requirements:
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficient in using ER systems or similar software is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling patient information
- Ability to work well in a team environment
