The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine is accepting applications for a full-time faculty position in the Department of Restorative Dentistry/Comprehensive Care. The faculty rank of associate professor in the appointment stream (non-tenure) will depend on experience and qualifications. The primary responsibilities include didactic, preclinical, and clinical instruction of dental students, scholarly activities, and service. Applicants must have postgraduate residency training in general dentistry, additional certification of advanced training in general dentistry and commitment to continuing education is desirable. Applicants should have an interest in practice management with a desire to teach and mentor predoctoral students, a preference for applicants with a history of practice ownership, and hiring dental associates, particularly experience with employment contracts. Participation in University Dental Health Services faculty practice is also available. Salary for this position is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Applicants must have a DDS/DMD degree from an ADA-accredited school. The applicant must also be eligible for a Pennsylvania dental license. Application reviews will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
