Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Manager, you will be required to live onsite and play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our hotel. Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff to ensure efficient and high-quality service
- Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training new employees
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering and stock control
- Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement strategies to improve hotels overall performance
- Assist in creating employee schedules and managing labor costs
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve any issues that may arise
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized environment
Skills:
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to effectively lead a team
- Experience in Back of the House mechanical management, preferably in a hotel or apartment setting
- Experience setting and running Preventative Maintenance programs.
- Knowledge of HVAC - VTAC units is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of hospitality management principles
