Assistant/Associate Professor In-Residence - Digital Technology and Education:
The UCONN Health, School of Medicine is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor In-Residence Digital Technology and Education. This is a 1.00 fte position.
Responsibilities for this position will include but not be limited to:
· Leading a team to produce innovative online learning materials
· Creating and maintaining an instructional web page and online materials related to innovative technology in healthcare
· Guiding and supporting faculty in the development of effective teaching and assessment strategies
· Integrating technology into existing coursework, including simulation and gamification
· Providing instruction to faculty on authoring content through multimedia tools
· Introducing and implementing emerging technologies in the medical environment
· Scholarly interests to include augmented reality in medical applications; demonstrated capacity for scholarship
· Strong expertise in cutting edge technologies such as virtual reality gaming, mobile apps, wearable devices, etc.
· Demonstrated teaching in higher education
· Evidence of strong collaboration and communication skillsÂ
Additional Information: Departmental appointment to be determined based on applicant area of experience, expertise and interest.
Qualifications: Terminal degree such as PhD, DO or MD. Previous teaching experience preferred.Â
