Electrical Designer (Austin, TX and San Antonio, TX)
CNG Engineering, PLLC is growing! We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer for our Austin or San Antonio, Texas location.
We are a San Antonio-based, professional mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering design firm that provides master planning, design and building commissioning services for public and private sector projects across the State of Texas. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design of overall power distribution systems and fire alarm systems
- Design of branch circuit distribution systems for power and lighting in commercial facilities
- Coordinate work efforts with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and AutoCAD/Revit design teams to ensure quality and attention to detail
- Conduct construction site visits and field surveys to verify code compliance, construction progress, and as-built conditions
- Develop meeting minutes and site observation reports
- Prepare electrical engineering designs and construction documents for buildings based on client requirements, budget, and schedule
- Excellent organizational and cross-disciplinary communication skills are required
- Respond to RFIs
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPENTENCIES:
- Exercises judgement to apply generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions for project specific application
- Contributes to the design and development of electrical systems
- Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to electrical system designs
- Works under the direct supervision of a Professional Electrical Engineer
TECHNOLOGY/COMPUTER EXPERIENCE:
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, and Revit
- Proficient in Bluebeam
- Proficient in MS Office Suite to include, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
EDUCATION:
- Associates Degree, preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- 4 years of recent experience in Electrical Engineering design with an architectural or MEP firm
- Proficient interpersonal skills and experience helping to maintain successful client relationships
- Working knowledge of Project Management
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current valid driver's license and insurable driving record
SCHEDULE:
- Monday - 8:00AM - 5:30PM
- Tuesday - Thursday - 7:30AM - 5:30PM
- Friday - 7:30AM - 12:00P
