Professor - Environmental Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Environmental Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and contributes to research In a specialized field.     Duties:


    Job responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses/labs within the Mechanical Engineering Department. The person in this position will be expected to teach a wide range of engineering courses, including advanced mechanics, machine design, computer aided design, and heat transfer. The person may be required to teach other engineering courses and support laboratory operations depending on the needs of the department.

    Required Qualifications:
    •MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
    •BS degree in an engineering field or Engineering Science
    •Excellent English written and oral communication skills
    •Demonstrated commitment to education
    •Significant industrial experience
    •Capability to obtain a Professional Engineering license in the United States within four years of hiring

    Preferred Qualifications:
    •A PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline
    •Previous collegiate teaching experience
    •Experience mentoring senior design students
    •Experience with ABET accreditation
