Asst. Professor - Foreign Languages teaches courses in the discipline area of foreign languages. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Asst. Professor - Foreign Languages provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Foreign Languages typically reports to a department head. Monroe County Community College’s Upward Bound Program has a part-time summer program instructor position available. Provides supplemental foreign language instruction to rising 9th graders to seniors.
Employment dates June 17 to July 26; Monday-Thursday from 9:00 am-3:00 pm in the classroom and Fridays for field trips or online activity.
Qualifications include Bachelor’s Degree with valid Michigan Teaching Certificate and proper endorsements; or Master’s degree in applicable subject.
