Scientist II-IV/ Senior Scientist, Solid-State & API Engineering The qualified candidate will be hired at the appropriate level commensurate with education and experience.
Description:This position will support the development of Client biologically active compounds within the client's pipelines. A knowledge of the drug development process and application of solid-state chemistry, process chemistry and chemical engineering principles throughout the phases of drug process development is desired. Specifically, this position, in close collaboration with their supervisor and colleagues in CMC Development groups, will conduct solid form identification and development per project timeline. The individual will conduct solid form screening, characterization, hit forms evaluation and selection, as well as API isolation process and API co-processing development. The candidate should have strong communication & interpersonal skills, be able to multi-task and have a problem-solving mindset to handle challenging projects.

Requirements:Senior Scientist: Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, Chemical Engineering, Organic chemistry or related fields and 0-4 years of pharmaceutical industry or relevant research experience in drug substance or drug product process development, chemical engineering or related fields.
Scientist II-IV: Master's Degree with 0-6 years of experience or Bachelor's Degree with 0-10 years of experience in Pharmaceutics, Chemical Engineering, Organic chemistry or related fields and 0-4 years of pharmaceutical industry or relevant research experience in drug substance or drug product process development, chemical engineering or related fields.
Requirements for both levels:• Ability to independently perform hands-on activities for solid form screening and development, data analysis and interpretation
Skills: Desired Skills and Experience:• Sound knowledge and experience in solid-state chemistry, process chemistry. Previous experience with solid form, polymorphism or crystallization development is a plus
Education: Master's Degree with 0-6 years of experience or Bachelor's Degree with 0-10 years of experience in Pharmaceutics, Chemical Engineering, Organic chemistry or related fields and 0-4 years of pharmaceutical industry or relevant research experience in drug substance or drug product process development, chemical engineering or related fields.
