Job Description

ProSidian Seeks a Industrial Hygiene Technician - Engineering (Time and Materials | Non-Exempt) to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRR]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy.  

This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients and ProSidian Team Members (# FTe's: 1) work as part of a Engagement Team Cadre (Labor Category 30090) to fulfil T&M - Time and Materials (T&M) requirements. 

The Industrial Hygiene Technician IH 103 as a  Professional Grade position.

Industrial Hygiene Technician - Engineering Candidates shall work to support requirements for Technical General Support Services (GSSC) related to NAICS: 541690 - Environmental Consulting Services,  NAICS: 541690 - Scientific and Technical Consulting Services - Energy, and NAICS: 591690 - Professional Scientific Technical Consulting Services and

The purpose of the position is to provide field support for the Industrial Hygiene Program, ensuring Federal, State, Company, and Site requirements regarding exposure to potential physical and chemical hazards to facility personnel. Functions including but not limited to:

Perform field industrial hygiene evaluations (e.g., heat strain, chemicals);

Perform worker exposure assessments for chemical and physical hazards;

Prepare technical reports; and

Communicate issues and results with employees and management in a professional manner.

Qualifications

The Industrial Hygiene Technician - Engineering shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct.  The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.

requisite work experience and technical skills to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of the Industrial Hygiene Technicians working and performing tasks in the Energy Industry (Oil and Gas / Power and Utilities / Nuclear Energy) High school diploma or equivalent required. All candidates shall have 3 years’ experience providing

industrial hygiene / technician experience, or 5 years experience troubleshooting or repairing mechanical equipment or electronics. Candidate shall have operational knowledge of computer databases and office programs (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint).  The 40-hour workweek schedule will be determined by the assigned facility to accommodate the current demand of work evolutions and shift rotations. Candidate may be assigned to various shift schedules. Standard Facilities Access required and a security clearance may be required for this position

Excellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program)
