The Opportunity:
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Worldwide, School of Engineering, College of Aviation invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Software Engineering. This is a full-time (10-month) faculty position that will include responsibilities for developing, designing, and teaching software engineering-related classes at ERAU Worldwide. This is a remote-work position.
The successful candidate's main responsibility will be to develop and maintain a software engineering curriculum, as well as teach classes in an asynchronous online format. The curriculum covers topics in Software Engineering, Computer Science, and Computer Engineering. The goal is to convey knowledge to students on how to create, test, document, maintain, and release software applications. Algorithm development, data structures, microprocessor systems, computer architecture, files and database systems, information and computer security are also fields of study. However, the emphasis will be in the aerospace field.
QualificationsRequired education:
Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or any other Engineering discipline with the possession of a strong background in Software Engineering.
