Our team is looking for the right candidate to create 2D detailed drawings and documentation for use in the manufacturing of custom stainless steel, aluminum, and steel fabrications and engineering documentation for project designs. Candidate should be able to follow job specific instructions, comprehend specifications, and determine the correct drafting template setup to achieve the desired final product. Candidate should be exceptionally proficient in reading and understanding sketches and general design documents to create "blueprints" that detail fabrication tolerances.
Candidate Requirements:
Candidate must have a working knowledge of CAD standards, drafting/engineering practices and methods, and PC application software.
Candidate must have in depth knowledge of the current version of AutoCAD.
Candidate will be proficient in PDF editing and use of Excel and Word softwares, and be very proficent in file directory structure navigation.
Candidate will be detail oriented, a goal setter & achiever, and highly interested in success in the business enviroment.
Candidate must be conversationally fluent in the English language both in writting and verbally.
Candidate must have structural steel/metal fabrication detailing experience.
Candidate must have machining detailing experience.
Candidate must have the ability to work in a dynamic business environment and adapt to frequent project changes and challenges.
Job Duties:
Work directly with design and manufacturing management team to develop and produce engineering, submittal, shop, and part level documentation in a fast pace enviroment.
Interface with customer or client to understand project goals or to gain clarity to challenges discovered during the process.
Follow complex instructions and diagrams to create or modify drawings using drafting standards and techniques.
Develop detailed drawings utilizing AutoCAD to produce accurate and easy to follow fabrication drawings for use by shop fabrication team to produce components.
Develop fabrication drawings utilizing AutoCAD to produce accurate and easy to follow installation drawings for use by the field installation teams.
Provide accuracy and effectiveness in electronic drafting.
Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of both manual and electronic drawings.
Maintain, support and operate associated plotters, printers, and scanners.
Coordinate with engineers, customers and site personnel to incorporate concepts and information into drawing packages.
Work effectively as part of a team or independently with minimal oversight.
Coordinate the collection of data and incorporate this information into drawings, schematics, and maps as directed.
Residential architecture detailing/drafting A PLUS.
Structural Engineering drafting A PLUS.
CNC Programming experience is preferred, but not required.
3D and modeling experience a plus.
