The Industrial Analyst must have strong leadership & organizational skills. He or she will be responsible for successfully working to compile and evaluate statistical data in cross-functional teams to achieve company goals. Primary responsibility will be to maintain company data. To successfully accomplish this, you will collaborate with operations management, sales, industrial engineering, R&D, quality, finance, and planning, to gather data that will provide critical information for best business practices.
Responsibilities:

Study time, motion, methods, or speed involved in maintenance, production, or other operations to establish standard production rate or improve efficiency using Pi.

Aid in planning work assignments in accordance with worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, or anticipated delays.

Verify that equipment is being operated and maintained according to quality assurance standards by analyzing data.

Evaluate industrial operations for compliance with permits or regulations related to the generation, storage, treatment, transportation, or disposal of hazardous materials or waste.

Work closely with the functional representatives in the development of simplified/lean process improvements or operating practices which best utilize the systems to improve quality, increase productivity; and supports business goals.

Develop peer, cross-functional relationships to maximize best practice sharing.

Responsible for the timely completion of project tasks and activities within functional area by directing activities of others as well as maintaining individual project responsibilities.

Act as the functional change agent by creating a sense of purpose to meet the goals of the business & leading by example.

Own issue / risk identification, escalation, resolution and communication with the project team and functional management.

Analyze the business competitive position in the use of technology in relation to industry best practices.

Prepare, present & review overall plans, status reviews and reports as required by project.

Develop tools that establish the relationships between specific product production capacities, relative product values and their corresponding value differences as a function of markets.

Use these tools daily to facilitate product scheduling and operations management.

Review, direct collection of, and/or analyze data that establishes operational benchmarks for product yields, and efficiencies.

Critically evaluate new products, production practices, new equipment, etc., to estimate financial impact to the company.

Review departmental operations, make recommendation for changes, complete monitoring, and analyses to measure impact of operational changes to departmental performance.

Work with allied industry suppliers or customers to design and execute projects as necessary to determine the impact of product, input item or operational changes on operational performance and corresponding financial return.

Manage data collection methods that gather critical information from the production floor.

Perform assigned GMP activities in the individual’s work area as defined.

Clean up messes or other housekeeping issues as soon as reasonable; this will include an overall ‘clean as you go’ mentality.

Report any known or discovered contamination or other food safety risk to product to their direct supervisor immediately.

Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, IT, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Industrial Engineering or associated field.

Minimum of 3 years of operations experience. General knowledge of extrusion, slitting, and secondary processing of BOPP films highly preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Power-Point and Outlook).

Previous experience with SAP is preferred.

Experience with Power BI, building and developing dashboards and visual analytics or the ability to learn is required.

Experience in statistical data analysis using Pi or similar software.

Working knowledge or ability to learn control system data flow (Foxboro, OPC interfaces, PLCs, etc.)

Working knowledge of ability to learn Cloud computing (Microsoft Azure, Cloud connect)

Internet, spreadsheet, word processing, and statistical analysis skills are required.

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in written form.

Candidate must be self-motivated, detail oriented, with a strong work ethic and be willing to work flexible hours and weekends to see projects through to the end.

Abel to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision and work with personnel from several departments and outside companies is a must.

Must be of high integrity and possess the ability to maintain confidentiality of projects and results.

Position requires hands-on data collection. Must be able to navigate production floor, lift 30 lbs., work in a heavy manufacturing environment, and be able to work flexible hours to complete projects or training as necessary.
