Position Summary: The Associate Attorney is responsible for managing a caseload, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing strategic guidance to clients. The Associate Attorney works closely with the Managing Attorney and with clients. They will also be proactive, an exceptional communicator, highly organized, detail oriented, comfortable with new challenges, and can work independently and within a team. Additionally, the Associate Attorney will adhere to the strictest level of confidentiality.
Compensation & Benefits: $70,000 - $75,000/annually - Full-time

Education: Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school is required. Admission to the Michigan Bar and in good standing.
Experience: Previous experienceworking in a law office with a focus on litigation is preferred.
Other Requirements: Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills, including ability to create written content. Fluent knowledge of Michigan Court Rules, laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process. Strong organizational and time management skills with a high level of accuracy. Proficiency in legal research tools and software (Westlaw, LexusNexus). Technologically savvy with excellent computer skills, including proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams), database programs, Internet, and various cloud-based systems.
