Our growing law firm is looking to hire an experienced family attorney licensed in California who is passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives to manage our Petaluma caseload. Experience in litigating child custody, child support, spousal support, and divorce is a must. (We will also be recruiting an attorney for our Ukiah office soon).
Our ideal applicant is a detail-oriented "people person" with exceptional writing skills and the ability to use technology and systematic processes to manage a steady caseload. They should be a self-starter who enjoys autonomy but can also work collaboratively within a team.
We offer a competitive base salary (below) plus bonus incentives, a generous vacation package, 3 floating holidays, 13 additional holidays, health insurance (choice of several plans including Kaiser and Sutter), dental insurance, vision insurance, chiropractic insurance, acupuncture insurance, an annual professional development allowance, and optional participation in the firm's 401k plan with generous employer matching contributions. Depending on the firm's performance for the year, we may close the office and provide additional paid time off during the December holiday season.
In addition, we offer a drama-free and supportive workplace with team members ranging from 2 years to 15 years with the firm. Our attorneys work 2 days in the office, and 3 days from home (with the option to work additional time at the office, according to the employee's preference). Our team meets daily via Teams for a brief morning meeting and works closely to ensure our clients receive the best service. Our paralegals each have over 20 years of experience in family law and are the backbone of our firm. We are selective in the cases we accept. We currently do not accept domestic violence cases, guardianship cases, CPS-involved cases, termination of parental rights, contempt matters, or pre/post-nuptial agreement matters. We do not offer mediation, limited-scope services, or free consultations. We strive to keep each attorney's caseload under 40 total cases so we can give each client the attention they deserve and avoid attorney burnout. Management does not tolerate clients or others who are abusive to our team. Family law is challenging. We make sure our team is taken care of!
