    Brief Summary of Work for this Position
    The Department of Accountancy and Business Law has an opening for a full-time lecturer in business law. This is a non-tenure track position that will begin in August 2024. Responsibilities will include teaching four courses per semester and participating fully in departmental activities, including academic advising, committee service, and engagement with the community. Courses may include Legal Environment of Business, Law and Society, and other undergraduate level courses.
    Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
    • Juris Doctorate degree required.
    • Candidates must demonstrate:
      • the ability to provide an excellent experience in undergraduate courses
      • a commitment to participating in scholarly and/or professional activities to satisfy Cameron School requirements for maintaining academic and professional currency per AACSB requirements
      • willingness to engage fully in departmental events and activities related to student recruitment, mentoring and placement
    Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
    • Professional licensure to practice law.
    • Successful experience teaching at the college level.
    • Familiarity and/or experience with online instruction and learning management systems.
    • Interest in the interact between artificial intelligence (AI) and the law.

    The Accountancy and Business Law Department supports the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA), and Master of Business Administration programs. The Department also offers courses in the Cameron School of Business core curriculum, including financial and managerial accounting and business law
