A Little Bit About the Position

Join the Gemini Legal team as a Process Server, where your purpose is to adeptly deliver requests (subpoenas), retrieve/copy records, and return confidential medical/business documents in compliance with HIPAA and other state and federal document security regulations. Operating within an assigned territory, you'll navigate hospitals, medical facilities, businesses, residences, and various record locations. As the Process Server, your responsibilities include maintaining relationships with these locations, ensuring safe vehicle operation, efficient route planning, and meticulous adherence to protocols. • Location: This position covers the San Francisco city territory (must reside within this area)
• Schedule: Monday-Friday with shift times variable, but often 8am-5pm
• Compensation: $24.04-$31.25/hr
• Travel: Travel may be required up to 90% of working hours (a company car and gas card will be provided)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate's degree preferred but not required
• 1 year(s) of experience as a Process Server, Private Investigator, Law Enforcement Officer, or in a route-based driving position required
• Valid California drivers license and clean driving history
• Reliable vehicle, current auto registration, and current auto insurance (until company car is available)
• Advanced time management and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient using a computer, business phone, office software, video conferencing, and other computer programs including Google Workplace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail, etc.)
• Working knowledge of the operation of scanning equipment
• Proficient with Windows and Adobe Acrobat
• Adequate internet connection for home office
• Must pass pre-employment screening

Functional Requirements
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation, including, but not limited to:

• Consistent lifting, bending, standing, climbing or walking while carrying out assigned duties
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Sitting for at least one hour at a time (total: 4-6 hours/day)
• Keyboarding for extended periods of time (total: 2-4 hours/day)
• Using a phone with or without a headset for extended periods (total: 1-2 hours/day)
• Driving for extended periods of time, up to 4-6 hours in a day and up to 200-300 miles per day

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.04 - $31.25 per hour
