Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Mechanical Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and contributes to research In a specialized field. Description
Operational Responsibilities-
Use of computer aided design to assist in design and drafting. Prepare and update engineering drawings for use in a production setting. Complete documentation of any project involvement.
Supports manufacturing and assembly of current production machines utilizing engineering change orders to resolve build issues in a timely manner.
Required Education, Professional Qualifications and Experience
Associate Degree in Mechanical Drafting and Design
Years of Experience – 2-4 years of experience
Nature of Experience –Creo and AutoCad
Experience working with Mechanical and or Electrical Assemblies that should include creating models, assembly layouts, bill of materials, and production drawings.
Maintain bill of materials and use standardization of parts.
Knowledge of the SAP and Teamcenter systems preferred.

Work Environment-Office with some Shop Support located in Hico, WV
