    POSITION OVERVIEW

    We are currently seeking an experienced Controller to join the fast-growing FirstCall team. The ideal candidate is responsible for managing accounting and financial activities for assigned companies. The duties include producing financial statements, forecasting future results, and directing accounting and other administrative staff.


    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support operations leadership in all matters finance related
    • Lead the daily finance and accounting activities of assigned locations 
    • Coordinate actions as part of a larger finance team including other controllers and the CFO
    • Lead the use of the operations and accounting software
    • Manage the close process 
    • Ensure timely and correct billing
    • Ensuring proper POC accounting
    • Supervise the preparation of journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare/analyze financial statements 
    • Train, supervise and develop accounting team members 
    • Forecast and maintain healthy cash flow 
    • Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process 
    • Assist with financial and other audits 
    • Assist with tax documentation preparation 
    • Monthly ad hoc reporting 

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Degree in accounting, finance, or in a related field.
    • 6 years of progressive experience in accounting positions.
    • Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus
    • Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations
    • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office (especially excel) and accounting software, BuildOps and INTACC preferred
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
    • Strong supervisory and management skills.
    • Proficient with data analysis, forecasting, critical thinking and problem-solving

    Environmental Requirements

    Will be required to work in a field environment, multiple customer sites on a daily basis.

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is continually required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
