About us
Lyra Music is a non-profit classical music program. We are professional, supportive, fun and our goal is to provide an outstanding summer music camp experience for young classical musicians. Lyra Music is a small non-profit recovering from the pandemic. Our summer program is an audition-based music camp open to advanced teenage classical musicians. We provide an intensive, yet nurturing music camp focused on achieving the highest standards of development through encouragement rather than competition; and working with the whole individual through music education. We maintain an unusually low staff to student ratio, and love the family-like, supportive atmosphere that results from a small student body. During this 2-week, conservatory-style program, students focus on performance technique through the unique experience of performing multiple times each week in a variety of settings. Along with high level classical music training, Lyra offers daily recreational activities, regional excursions, and evening social activities.
